U-7 training on Monday's on PCH's pitch.
U-9's train on Monday and Thursday.
U-11 training on Monday and Saturday. They played St James's yesterday evening.
U-12's are due to play Annaghdown at home on Sunday at 11am.
U-13's training on Tuesday and Sunday.
U-15's were fixed to play Moycullen away at 7pm yesterday evening, Tuesday. They have a game this Friday evening at home to Salthill/Knocknacarra.
U-17 A team were away to Monivea/Abbey on Sunday and drew 0-7 to 0-7. Their next game is home to Athenry on July 23rd.The B team were away to Claregalway on Sunday evening and lost narrowly, 1-12 to 3-7. Their next game is home to Annaghdown on July 23rd.
Our Junior's championship campaign opens with a home game against Athenry on July 28th, followed by away games against Menlough and Ballinasloe.
Junior B's are away to Dunmore McHales tomorrow evening, Thursday, in their championship semi-final at 8pm.
Last Friday we held a fundraising challenge match to help out our neighbours Corrib RFC. We played local rivals Caherlistrane and in the first half you wouldn't have thought it was a junior team playing a senior team. With the winds at our backs we built up a large lead. However Caherlistrane turned the game on its head in the second half and took full advantage of the wind to run out winners. At the end of the day it was all about raising money to help Corrib RFC rebuild their facilities after they fell victim to an arson attack. A total of €2250 was raised and huge credit is due to all that were involved in the event.
