We had no winner of our €20,000 lotto jackpot last Sunday night in Varley's. We had no match 3 winner so we drew 5 lucky dips sharing €100 - David Alexander (Corofin), Cathal Murphy (Kilbeg), Philomena Koller (Rafwee), Bernie Lee (c/o OPW) & Jason Kenna (Kildare). Numbers drawn were 7-16-23-32. Promoters prize went to Michael O'Toole. Next week's draw will be for €20,000 and will be held in Campbell's Tavern on Sunday night. The Intermediate team are back in Division 3 league action vs Dunmore MacHales in Headford at 8pm on Tuesday, they then play Corofin in our last league game on Sunday at 2pm also at home. We need 2 wins from our remaining 2 games to give ourselves a chance of promotion, let’s get a big home crowd down to support the lads in both games. Well done to the Juniors who finished off the league with a win in the local derby vs Caherlistrane, 3-9 to 1-10 last Friday night. It was a fine performance in horrific conditions. They now have a break until the first round of Championship on the weekend of 10/11th of August. Well done to our u-11s who played in the Tuam blitz last Sunday against Tuam Stars, Claregalway and Claremorris, finishing up with 4 wins and a draw from 6 matches which qualifies them for the final in 3 weeks. Special thanks to Grace Lee and Ruth O'Brien from St Furseys for joining us. Well done to our u-10 boys who took part in the Jarlath Corcoran Tournament last Saturday in Caherlistrane. 4 wins and a draw from 8 tough matches was a good days work. Well done to the 208 girls & boys who took part in Headford's Cúl Camp. St. Fursey's & Headford GAA would like to thank all 14 coaches involved. The Club Shop is open every Monday evening from 7:30-8:30pm at the clubhouse.
