We had no winner of our lotto jackpot last Sunday night in the Angler's Rest Hotel. We had one match 3 - Brian Moran (Ellagh). Numbers drawn were 10-22-27-28. Promoter's prize went to Ryder's Pharmacy. Next week's draw will be for €11,500 and will be held in Varley's on Bank Holiday Monday night.
Hard luck to the Intermediates who's winning streak in Division 3 came to an end on Saturday evening at the hands of Kilconly. 1-13 to 1-5 final score. However, we are still near the top of the league with 3 wins from 4 games. Our next game is in the John Dunne Cup vs Caherlistrane next Monday at 5pm in Headford, please support.
The u-16s drew with Kilkerrin/Clonberne last Tuesday in the league, 4-8 to 3-11. This leaves them mid table at the halfway point of the league. We wish Murchadh McCaul a speedy recovery after he was injured during the game.
Well done to our u-14s made it 4 wins from 4 in the league last Friday, defeating Kilconly on a score line of 4-7 to 2-11.
The Mattie Reddington Cup takes place this Saturday as part of Headfest. Running as an u-12 competition this year, the action kicks off at 11am. We have teams from far and wide taking part and vying to win the coveted trophy.
Our Club Shop is open this Friday evening and every Friday from 7-8pm.
It is with deep regret that we learned on last week of the sudden passing of one of our own true "Gaels" Paschal Hynes. Paschal played football for all of our club teams from juvenile right up to our adult team. A talented footballer, his skills did not go unnoticed and played for the Galway minors and also played Junior football for Galway in the 80’s.To his family: mother Maureen, sisters Teresa, Bernie, Miriam and Carmel, brothers Pat, John, and Brendan we extend our deepest sympathy.Ar dheis De go raibn a anam uasal
