We had no winner of our lotto jackpot for €11,050 last Sunday night in the Thatch Bar. We had no match 3 so we drew 5 lucky dips - Enda Hannon (Raffee), Jasmine Murphy (Kilbeg), Mary Kenny (Kilroe), Holly Glynn (Dunmore), Niall Cunningham (Claran). Numbers drawn were 2-9-13-23. Promoters prize went to Tom Murphy. Next week's draw will be for €11,200 and will be held in the Headford Arms on Sunday night.
Well done and congrats to Padraig Cunningham, Daniel Garvey, Aaron McDonagh & James who played for the Galway Junior footballers in their win over Mayo in the Connacht Final in Castlebar on Sunday. Padraig was also awarded the Man of the Match.
The Intermediates drew with Cortoon Shamrocks in the first group game of the John Dunne Cup last Thursday in Brownesgrove. The Championship gets underway this weekend.
We play the Aran Islands in the first game of the group on Sunday at 1pm in Spiddal. All support greatly appreciated. The Juniors had a good win over Glinsk last Friday evening at home in the league, which was their first victory in Division 5 this season.
The minors were unlucky to lose to St. Brendan's in their league game last Monday, a single point separating the teams. The u-16s were also defeated by Mountbellew/Moylough in the league on Friday, they play Cortoon in Headford at 7pm this Tuesday.
The u-14s play their next league game this Friday at home vs Kilkerrin-Clonberne.
Congrats to our "Last Man Standing" winner Joe Kelly pictured here collecting his €500 prize. Joe was astute with his picks throughout the 10 weeks and deservedly took home the spoils.
