Our Intermediates line out in their first league game of the year this Sunday when they take on Micheál Breathnachs in Division 4 at home at 5pm. The u-21's play Mountbellew/Moylough in the North Board Championship Semi-Final on Friday at 7pm, it would be great to see a large home crowd there to cheer on the lads in what is a huge game for the club.
In their league the minors travelled to Ballinasloe last Wednesday evening and were well beaten by the home side after a poor second half performance. We were the better team in the first half and should have been in front at the break. However, we found ourselves 4 points down and in the second period Ballinasloe were first to every ball and took every chance they created to run out handsome victors in the end. On an evening when nothing went our way Geoffrey Corbett, James Varley and Danny O'Shaughnessy never gave up and put in brave performances. In what is now a crucial fixture we face Athenry at home this Wednesday at 7pm in round 3 of the league. The u-16s made it 2 wins from 2 in the league with a 4-12 to 4-8 victory over Oranmore/Maree on Tuesday. It was an end to end encounter from start to finish with the first half finishing 1-8 to 1-5. Our scores coming mainly from the boot of Niall Egan (1-5), ably assisted by Alan Toher, Thomas Newell, Eoghan Halloran and Ksper Potniatowski who all scored a point each. 2 further points at the start of the second half looked to have us on our way to the win but Oranmore to their credit refused to give up and kept themselves in contention throughout. Even when we headed for the last 10 minutes 6 points to the good, they scored their fourth goal of the game and once again the pressure was on Headford. However, similar to last wee the team showed great character to see out the game and get the win they deserved. To the forefront of our performers were Gavin Lee, Alan Toher, Cathal Roddy and Louis McGeehan. The squad now face Loughrea at home this Tuesday at 7pm looking to make it 3 wins from 3. The management would like to thank all the parents who helped with transport to and from the game for the players.

Please support our upcoming 25 Card Drive in Cloughanover Community Centre which will be held this Sunday 17th of April. Tickets are available now (€5 each) from senior players.
Congratulations to clubman Eoin McHugh and his wife Rachel on the birth of James Felim.
