Training times and Pitch Bookings are along the following lines.
Tuesdays: Under 9 & 10 Boys 6:15-7:15. Under 13, 14 & 15 Boys 6-30-7:30.
Wednesdays: Under 7 & 8 and Under 11 & 12 Boys 6:15-7:15.
Thursdays: All age groups Girls 6:00-7:15.
Fridays: Under 16 & 17 Boys 6:00-7:15. Under 13, 14 & 15 Boys 6:30-7:30.
Sundays: Under 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12 Boys 11-00-12:00 Noon.
Fixtures:
This evening (Monday 16th April) at 6:30, St Michaels’ Under 16s host Kinvara.
Wednesday Evening 18th April St James visit Westside to play St Michaels Under 19s at 7pm.
On Sunday 21st April, St Michaels host Claregalway at 12 noon in Under 17.
Nothing on the Ladies front except to note that the Under 12s entertained Moycullen this evening.
Results:
St Michaels’ under 15s defeated Claregalway by 2-07 to 0-11.
The Clubs Intermediates had a home draw against Killanin in Division 1 of the senior league.
Both Junior Fixtures fell by the wayside due to the inclement weather.
News: St Michaels’ Intermediate team drew with Killanin 1-08 each at a windswept Westside on Saturday evening. Killanin had the aid of the breeze in the first half and led by 1-03 to a point at the interval. Although Michaels’ had levelled very early in the 3rd quarter, they eventually did well to dig out a draw with the last kick of the game. They kept their unbeaten home record intact which is one positive, they won a point which is another, but, they are beginning to realise that good honest endeavour has to be backed up with skill and good decision making on the pitch. All bar 3, 9 & 13 could be summoned to the office for the Davy Russell-esque cup of tea. Next up is an away game to Claregalway in 2 weeks time. Team: S. Daly, S. Kerr, S. Maloney & C. Meagher. D. Special thanks to the catering committee who provided much welcome food a hot beverages after the game (and half time for some!) gwan da bully!!.
Weekly Draw: Numbers drawn in this week’s Peter Curran Electric St Michaels’ GAA Club Draw were: 03-19-29-30. There was no winner of the jackpot.
