Under 14 League: St Michaels 1-05 ---- Spiddal 7-10
Under 17 A Shield: St Michaels 3-11 ---- Dunmore 1-09
Fixtures are as Follows:
North Board Junior A Final: St Michaels v Glinsk at 17:15 in Tuam Stadium on Saturday next (23-09-2023).
Under 17 Shield Final: St Michaels v Annaghdown on 01-10-2023.
Under 19 B Championship West Final: St Michaels v Bearna (Could also be on weekend of 01st October.
Summary: It’s all systems go for St Michaels’ Junior A team and Management as they attempt to annex a first ever Junior A North Board title on Saturday evening next. Throw-in is at a quarter past five on Saturday evening and the curtain-raiser will be the Senior Group game between Tuam Stars and Mountbellew. The Club is urging all of our supporters to come out on Saturday evening and support Mike Hughes and his charges as they attempt to make history. You will be back home in time for the Rugby!!
Football Board: You may have noticed by now, that the Galway Football Board have launched a fundraising initiative in the guise of a limited draw to “Win a Home” at a cost of €100.00 per ticket, limited to 20,000 tickets. We are asking all of our members and sponsors who may be considering the purchase of a ticket(s), to buy them through our Club. St Michaels’ have received an allocation to distribute in return for some discount on Board costs in 2024. . Training times will remain as they have been into the Autumn for as long as daylight allows.
Numbers drawn in this week’s Peter Curran Electric St Michaels’ GAA Club Draw were: 05-08-18-22. There was no winner of the Jackpot. Brian Madden c/o Helen @ The Sliding Rock, Joe Corcoran junior c/o Joe Corcoran @ St Michaels’ GAA Club and Briain McNeill c/o St Michaels’ Lotto online @ Clubforce shared the Match 3 Prize.
