In our second round league game we took on Lattin Cullen Gaels in Lattin on Sunday 26th. With both teams missing a number of regulars we took advantage of a strong breeze in our favour to set the tempo in the first half, some well worked scores from the likes of Aaron Ryan & Patrick Carey meant we led at the break on a scoreline of 0-09 to 0-06. The expected onslaught arrived as Lattin, now aided by the breeze, increased their efforts in the 2nd half and slowly clawed back the lead. At the ¾ mark Brian Carey scored what proved to be the match-winning goal and with our backs in a resolute mood we withstood the pressure to record victory on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-14. In Round 3 we play St Marys Clonmel in Kilcommon. Date to be confirmed.
