County Intermediate Championship
We play our final group game on 26th June versus Boherlahan in Dundrum at 3.30pm. We need to avoid defeat to be sure of progressing from what is a most competitive group.

West Junior A Football Championship
In our opening round game we fell to defeat to neighbours Cappawhite on Friday 3rd June in Solohead

Cappawhite were first on the scoreboard and quickly opened up a two point lead with points from Ger Ryan (p) and Michael Buckley. The game was then held up for about 40 minutes due to a serious injury to a Cappawhite player. On resumption of play Kevin Mullins extended Cappawhite’s advantage with a point from play. We then came into the game by running at the Cappawhite defence and Darragh Kennedy eventually got our first score on the board from a free. Sean Ryan and Darragh Kennedy swapped points from play to keep two points between the sides. As the half closed out Kennedy add his third and this was quickly followed by another from Andy O’Brien as we levelled proceedings on the stroke of half time.

Cappawhite started the second half brightly and points from Tom Treacy, Donnagh Heffernan and Timmy Cranley saw them go three up. The turning point of the game came ten minutes into the half when Timmy Cranley was fouled and the referee signalled a penalty. Kevin Mullins stepped up and sent the ball past Joey Nolan. Mullins then added another point before he turned provider minutes later when he set up Sean Ryan (W) for Cappawhite’s second goal. Patrick Deegan (play) and Darragh Kennedy (free) pointed with just under a quarter of an hour left on the clock to open Treacys second half account. We got ourselves right back in the game when Darragh Kennedy goaled with six minutes left to play reducing the gap to five points. Treacys continued to attack but the Cappawhite defence stood solid. Jerry O’Neill and Sean Ryan swapped points before the final whistle as Cappawhite came away victorious on a score-line of 2-9 to 1-7.
