Club Notes
Scor
Last Saturday, there were scenes of great celebration for St Dominic’s as the Scór Sinsir novelty act captured the All-Ireland title held in the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar. They flew the flag for Roscommon and Connacht with their original act, “Fit For Purpose.”
Their imaginative and skilful performance captivated both judges and audience alike, standing out among strong competition from across the country. The victory is a testament to the hard work, creativity, and community spirit that runs deep within the club. Months of rehearsals and dedication paid off as St Dominic’s brought humour, energy, and local pride to the national stage, adding another prestigious chapter to their Scór legacy. The team dedicated their win to the late Eileen Fallon, her legacy continues to inspire cultural life within the club.
There were joyous scenes in Knockcroghery on Sunday as the St Dominic’s Novelty Act team returned home to a hero’s welcome. Friends, family, and members of the wider community gathered in the village to celebrate the team’s remarkable achievement. Their victory marks a proud milestone for the club, bringing national honours back to the parish and highlighting the incredible talent and dedication within the St Dominic’s community.
Congratulations to the team Tommy Hurley, Breege Kenny, Anne Gillespie, Stephen Murphy, Laura Leonard, Cathy Dervan, Sylvia Kilcline and Noel Dervan, Caroline Dervan and Mary Ann on their outstanding achievement.

Junior LGFA
Roscommon Leisure Zone sponsored Jnr Ladies played St Croans Sunday 27th April. Croans lead well at half time however come the second half the come back was on but unfortunately, one of Dominics ladies sustained an injury which put them back onto the back foot. Well done to the ladies for seeing the game out and speedy recovery to our player.
Next Jnr Game in Friday evening 2nd May away to Clann with a throw in of 7.15pm
U12s
We have 2 U12 teams this year. The league started with our first game at home to Castlerea St Kevin's. Some lovely skills on display and we got the first win in the bag. Thanks to Mia White who was our Go Games ref for the game.
Next fixture is Monday 28th April where our younger team take on Pearses. Next weekend it's Clann na nGael at home on Friday and Boyle at home on Monday.
