ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONS

A huge congratulations must go out to the Longford Slashers Intermediate Ladies Team and management who won The All Ireland Ladies Intermediate Club Championship in Croke Park on Saturday evening last in a very convincing style by beating Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary on a score line of 4-11 to 2-07.

This historic win by the Slashers was indeed very special as four players from our parish lined out with the team. The club and the parish extends its heartiest congratulations to the four girls, Captain Ashling Cosgrove, Lisa Nolan, Kyana Lee and Emer Casey who all player a major part in the win.

What a proud moment for Asling Cosgrove and her family as she climbed the steps of the Hogan Stand to lift The All Ireland Intermediate Cup.
