On the sports front the junior footballers had a very good
win against Rockwell Rovers last weekend in the west semi final. Golden were
comfortable all through the game but the concession of two goals in the last
ten minutes meant it was a sticky finish. They now face Sean Treacys in the
west final, last time these two teams met they drew so another close game is
expected. No date has been announced yet.
This weekend coming the minor footballers take on Killenaule
in the county semi final in Cashel on Saturday at 1.30. This will be an
extremely tough game but the minors have been flying in challenge matches
recently. Best of luck to Michael Doyle and his team. The following weekend
both the minor and junior hurlers are out, details on times and venues will be
announced in the coming week.
