The draw for this weeks lotto took place Tuesday evening in
Sir Rowlands. There was no winner of the jackpot prize of 11500 which means
that next weeks draw will be up to 11800.There was also no winner of the 1000
jackpot draw. The numbers drawn were 6, 9, 16, 19

On the sports front the minor hurlers had a great win over
Eire Og Annacarty in the West semi final up in Cappawhite last Friday evening.
The lads played some super hurling over the hour to record an impressive 2-20
to 1-6 win, most of the Golden scores came from play. They are now in a west
final on a date to be announced. This Friday night its the turn of the minor
footballers under the stewardship of Michael Doyle. They are in the west final
against Rockwell in Cashel. The game kicks off at 7pm, best of luck to all
involved.
Tonight the Junior footballers have a big game against
Annacarty in the west championship. Golden need the win to ensure qualification
to the semi final stages, but Annacarty are also in the same boat. This should
be a cracker. It takes place in Annacarty this evening at 7pm.
Unfortunately in the west intermediate football championship
Golden had to give a walkover to Lattin Cullen last Sunday evening. Golden had
a number of long term injuries coming into the game and other players
unavailable on the night. We now cannot qualify for the west semi final stages
of the competition. Hopefully next year with the injured lads back on board
Golden will be competitive again
.
