The draw for this weeks lotto took place yesterday evening in the Sir Rowlands Bar. There was no winner of the jackpot prize of €9500 which means that next weeks draw will be up to €10000 There was also no winner of the €1000 euro draw. The numbers drawn were 1, 5, 7, 25

On the sports front the senior hurlers continued their series of challenge games as they build up to the upcoming games in the west championship. On saturday evening last in Urlingford the lads had a very good win over a fancied Emeralds team. The lads controlled the game from the start and played excellent hurling at times. The final score was Golden 4-12 Emeralds 2-09. The following day then on Sunday in Cashel the seniors had to play the Crosco cup replay against Bansha. This was the third match of the week for the lads and tiredness finally caught up as they went down to a very strong Bansha team on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-09. This weekend coming the lads have a crucial game in the west championshp when they play Clonoulty in their second last game of the championship. This game takes place in Cappawhite at 8pm.
Elsewhere the Junior B hurlers played Kilsheelin in a challenge match in Kilsheelin last Monday evening. This was a very competitive game all through against a Junior A side. The Juniors were short a number of regulars but they played very well on the night. They now play a football challenge match this Friday night against Cleirhan and then play Annacarthy in the Junior B championship on July 8th.
