MENS NOTES: Congratulations to all involved in the wonderful victory that we achieved in capturing the Club’s second All-Ireland Club title on St. Patrick’s Day. We wish to acknowledge all the well-wishers who lined the route of the homecoming cavalcade and accorded such a wonderful reception to the team. Thanks to everyone, including neighbouring parishes, who lit bonfires on the route home and on the tour of the parish. The generous support that we received for the team-training fund is acknowledged elsewhere in this paper. Come along to the Claregalway Hotel on Thursday 2 April and meet Andy Merrigan and team members at our Fashion Show. There are prizes for best-dressed man and best-dressed woman and many other great prizes. Compére on the night is Marietta Doran. Tickets costing €20 are available in Keane’s and Raftery’s or from Committee members. LADIES FOOTBALL: U6/U8 training resumes for 2015 in Belclare on Tuesday the 31st March from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. U10s training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Belclare also from 6 to 7. U12s training takes place on Thursday in Belclare from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. All new players are very welcome at each age level. The Senior ladies got the League campaign off to a winning start when they played Annaghdown and won on a scoreline of 3-15 to 1-07. We had 3 new débutantes on the Senior panel, Orla Canney, Hillary O’Toole and Louise Reilly – well done girls.
