MENS NOTES:

Our seniors had a good win, by 1-13 to 1-7, over Mountbellew / Moylough in the quarter-final of the championship played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday.  We now play Milltown in the semi final which is scheduled for Sunday 28 September.

Many thanks to all who helped at the two games played in Corofin on Saturday.  Thanks again also to the Scahill family for allowing us the use of their field for parking.

Under 13s travelled to Dr Crokes, Killarney on Saturday to play in the Colm Cooper Tournament.  They won their three group games but lost out to a much stonger Skerries team from Dublin in the semi final.  Hard luck lads and well done on your performances.  Many thanks to all who helped with the team on Saturday.

We extend our sympathies to the Molloy family, Ballintubber, on the death of Maureen Mannion, Creevaghbawn, Tuam, mother of Rosaleen Molloy and to the Diskin family, Ballinphuill, on the death of Margaret (Peg) Diskin, Clonberne, mother of Padraic.  May they rest in peace.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

U8s training takes place every Tuesday at 6.15 in Belclare.

The U10s have training every Tuesday from 6.15 to 7.45 in Belclare and also every Thursday from 6.15 to 7.45 in Corofin.  Please note change of times.  We need everyone to please attend training sessions from here on, as only a few weeks left.

U12 training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 6.15 in Belclare.  All girls need to attend in order to prepare for our next Championship match versus Dunmore.  We lost to a very strong Killanin team after a well fought game last Saturday.

Congratulations and well done to the under 16 girls who played in the Kilmurry / Ibrickane’s national sevens last Saturday.  They were beaten by a very strong Moycullen team in the semi-final.  Moycullen went on to the final, which they won comprehensively.

Congratulations and well done to the senior ladies in qualifying for the Senior Championship final versus Kilkerrin/Clonberne.  Corofin won after a well contested and hard fought effort by a gallant Dunmore team who were very much up for the game.  The final is provisionally fixed for next Saturday.  Please support the team in their efforts to win the County Final this year.

Please Note

The prize amounts above are what each winner will receive.
