LOTTO:

The Corofin lotto jackpot has reached €11,000, as no winners this week.   The numbers drawn were 11, 20, 23, 27.   Patricia Langan won the sellers’ prize this week.  Next week's draw takes place in Rafterys.

MENS NOTES:

The Galway footballers travel to Markievicz Park to take on Sligo in the Connacht Senior Football Championship Semi-Final on Saturday.  The game takes place at 7.00 pm and is the first every Gaelic football game broadcast live in front of the Sky Cameras.  Best of luck to our club players Tomás Healy and Micheál Lundy.

The Galway minors also take on Sligo on Saturday at 4.45 pm in Markewich Park.  Best wishes to the Corofin players on the panel – Colin Brady (capt), Patrick Madden, Kieran Molloy, Brian Raftery and Dylan Wall.

The under 14 team lost to Claregalway in the championship on Friday evening on a scoreline of 3-7 to 2-6.  They will now take part in the shield competition in July.

Before that though, they will compete in the All Ireland Féile Competition which takes place on the weekend of 27th to 29th June.  They are in a group with Claregalway, Nemo Rangers from Cork and Breadagh from Down.  Corofin will host Nemo Rangers for the weekend and we hope that they will feel very welcome in our midst.  We will have more details next week.

Under 10s play Clarinbridge on Saturday morning at 11.00.

Under 8s continue training on Saturday at 10.00 in Belclare.  They will play Clarinbridge on Monday evening next in Corofin at 7.00 pm.

Under 6 training continues on Saturday at 10.00 in Belclare.

We are asking who ever borrowed the Burka water boiler from the Belclare dressing rooms, to please return it, as it is required for the Féile weekend.

The cleanup of the Corofin pitch continues each Wednesday evening from 7.00 to 9.00 pm in preparation for Féile.  All help is appreciated.

The club sends its best wishes and good luck to the Sylane under 14s taking part in the Féile na nGael Hurling at the weekend in Ulster.  Sylane are grouped with Naomh Eoin, Sligo, Burt, Donegal and Strabane Shamrocks, Tyrone.  They play all their group games in Strabane Shamrocks grounds.  Their first game is on Friday at 2.00 pm versus the home team, Strabane Shamrocks.  They next play Burt at 11.00 am on Saturday followed by their final group game at 12.00 pm against Naomh Eoin.

The final date for the completed Prediction Quiz cards to be returned is now less than two weeks away.  Cards are still available from committee members and through the players.   Please support this essential fundraising drive.
