LOTTO:
There was no winner of the lotto and no match 3s. Numbers drawn this week were 3, 5, 19, 29. Next week's jackpot is €5,000 with the draw in the Palm Tree.
MENS NOTES:
Pride of place this week goes to the Corofin Under 13 footballers who travelled to the Dr Crokes Club in Killarney, to play in the “Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper Invitational Blitz” last Saturday. The blitz had teams from Kerry, Cork, Tipperary, Waterford, Dublin and Galway (Corofin). This is the second year of the competition.
In their first game Corofin defeated De La Salle, Waterford by 6-9 to 1-1. They then won their second game on a scoreline of Corofin 4-6 to St Michael's, Cork 3-4. In their final group game Corofin defeated the host club, Dr Crokes by 0-10 to 0-4 and thus qualified for the semi-final of the cup competition. The semi-final resulted in a big win for the Galway boys on a score of Corofin 8-7, Castlehaven, Cork 0-2. The Corofin boys continued their winning ways defeating Skerries, Dublin by 2-4 to 0-3 in the final of the competition.

Corofin play Milltown in the senior football championship semi-final on Sunday 15 September in Tuam Stadium, at 5.45pm. Referee: James Molloy. As always, your support is much appreciated.
Corofin defeated Tuam Stars by 1-8 to 0-7 in the U21 A Football Championship – North, Semi Final, played in Tuam on Thursday evening. Corofin led at half time by 1-3 to 0-1, the goal scored by Dylan Wall just before the break. Well done lads.
U16s played Carraroe on Tuesday in Spiddal in the shield, division 1 semi-final.
U15 Football League - Division 1A, Sunday 15 Sept in Corofin at 11:00 Corofin V Annaghdown. Referee: Michael Ruane.
Following the great win in Killarney, it is back to the league this week for the under 13s, with a match this evening (Wednesday) against Oranmore-Maree in Maree at 7.00pm and another match on Friday evening against Kilkerrin-Clonberne in Belclare also at 7.00pm.
Under 10 play in the annual Declan Kearns cup and shield on Saturday 14th in Tuam Stars grounds. Players are asked to be at the pitch at 9.30am
Under 8 and 6 continue training at 10am on Saturday in Belclare.
Reminder to get your sponsorship cards for the Corofin Community Development Association Diamond Hill Challenge – a day of walking, breath-taking scenery, great company and lots of craic, being held on Saturday, 28th September. Sponsorship cards available now in Rafterys & Keanes in Corofin or from members of the CCDA committee.

LADIES NOTES :
Seniors play in the County Championship Final this Saturday 14th Sept against Kilkerrin-Clonberne in Monivea at 4pm. Best of luck ladies and management in your quest to become county champions. Please come out and support our senior ladies.
Well done to minors on winning their first round of the Mairéad Meehan Minor championship against Caltra last Monday 9th Sept.
Hard luck to U12s who lost to Tuam-Cortoon last Monday in their championship.
