LOTTO:
There was no winner of the lotto. The numbers drawn were 4, 13, 27, 31. We had two match 3s – Bernard Byrne and Pat Finn. Next week’s jackpot is €4,100 with the draw in Gills.
MENS NOTES:
Sincere thanks to everyone who supported the various events during the “Gathering Week” in Corofin. Thanks in particular to all who attended the “Anyone who ever wore the Corofin jersey” and the "Love is in the air" events.
Our minors had a good win over Annaghdown in the Minor A Championship last week – Corofin 4-16 to Annaghdown 1-5. Well done to all involved.
Well done also to our junior team who defeated Milltown last Thursday on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-10.
Our under 12 team put on a great performance in defeating Tuam last Friday evening. There will be NO training this week. The next training session will be Tuesday 6 August in Belclare. Enjoy the break!
The Corofin senior players are pleased to bring you details of a 4-day ‘School of Excellence’ being held in August this year. The school of excellence is being co-ordinated by Gary Sice and David Morris. They will be assisted by a number of coaches including: Frank Morris, Aidan Donnellan, Kieran McGrath, Liam Silke, Kieran Fitzgerald & Galway Footballers; Roisín Leonard, Tracey Leonard, Emer Flaherty, Ronan Steede & Michael Meehan. Our coaches have an enviable collection of football accolades between them and we are delighted that they have made themselves available for our ‘School of Excellence’, which is unique to the Corofin GAA Club.
• The ‘School of Excellence’ will run from 6 to 9 of August at the Corofin pitch.
• Activities will begin each day at 10am and finish at 2pm.
• It is open to club members only, both boys and girls, aged between 7 and 13 years.
• €30 per child, €50 for two children, and €60 for three children. Application forms and fee can be returned at next training session.
• No Shop Facilities; healthy lunch recommended.
LADIES NOTES:
All is quiet on the ladies GAA front this week – enjoy the ‘Races’.
