LOTTO:
The numbers drawn this week were 4, 11, 16, 32 with no jackpot winner and two match 3s, Seán Costelloe and Eamon Kelly. Next week’s jackpot is €3,050 with the draw in Man of Aran.

MENS NOTES:
Corofin play Claregalway in the Intermediate Football Championship at 5.30 pm in Pearse Stadium on Saturday. Extra time will be played if necessary – referee Muiris MacGearailt. In the Junior A Football Championship – North, Corofin play Caltra in Barnaderg at 12.00 pm on Sunday. Extra time is to be played if necessary – referee Gerry Daly. The senior team’s league game against An Cheathrúa now takes place on next Sunday, at 12.00 pm in Carraroe. U12s played an Easyfix League match on Tuesday evening against St Gabriels in Kilconnell at 7:30 pm. A win will ensure their place in the 'A' final. Corofin/Belclare/Sylane Community Games U/10 Gaelic Football Team play St Mary's Sligo in a Prelim of the Connacht Finals in Belclare on Wednesday 12 June at 7.00 pm. If they win they will play Breaffi of Mayo in the Connaught Semi Final in Carrick on Shannon on Saturday 15th, June. Please come along and support this young team. The closing date for the club’s prediction sports quiz is fast approaching. All cards must be returned by Wednesday 26 June. Cards returned after that date may not have all events counted in the scoring. Full details are on the website and cards, costing €10, can be purchased from any committee member. The countdown is on for local Corofin man, Niall Higgins, who has announced his route for his sponsored cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head for Community Development, which commences on Wednesday 19 June. Further details will be given next week – see also club website and “Change4Corofin” website. The programme of events for the ‘Corofin Calling’ Gathering Festival, which will run from Sunday 21 July to Sunday 28 July in Corofin, is being finalised. It promises to be a highly entertaining festival with events for all members of the family. As part of the festival it is planned to have a ‘Corofin GAA Players Reunion’ on Wednesday 24 July. The club is calling all players of any age and from any era to reunite on the day / night. We will have further details nearer the date.

LADIES NOTES:
Senior training continues Wednesday evenings at 8pm in Belclare pitch. U14 and U16 training continues also. Well done to U12 girls who travelled to the Center of Excellance, Bekan, Co. Mayo last Saturday for the Connacht Blitz, a great day was had by all and well done girls and management on a great day of football. Training continues as usual and well done girls on reaching the Shield final of the League which will be played towards the end of June. U10s train as per usual and U8s train on Tuesdays in Belclare pitch at 6.30pm. New girls are welcome at any age group, details of managers to contact are on the website – www.corofingaa.ie. Well done to the Galway U21 team who beat Laois last Sunday to earn a place in the Aisling McGinn All-Ireland final this weekend. Please see local press for details of this game. Corofin are very well represented on this team and the club would like to wish them the best of luck, Leonie Higgins, Cliodhna Maloney, Aoife Newell, Lisa, Tracey and Roisin Leonard. Please come out and support the girls in the inaugural U21 All-Ireland Final. Hard luck to the Galway U14 girls who met a very strong Cork team in the U14A All-Ireland semi-final last Saturday in Limerick. Once again Corofin were very well represented on the team, with Orla Canney, Amy Coen, Leanne Coen, Chloe Langan, Mary Newell, Amy O'Donovan and Louise Reilly, and Brian O'Donovan on the management team. Fundraising initiatives are going really well for the journey to Féile 2013 for the U14 girls. Please remember to continue to support the Corofin GAA lotto, if you write 'ladies' on the envelope, the Ladies Club gets 50% of proceeds.
