Club Lotto:
Our lotto jackpot was not won this week and we had three match 3s Padraic Coyne, Alan Talty and Pete Fahy. The numbers drawn were 2, 13, 17 and 18. Next week's jackpot is 3,500 with the draw in Gills pub.
Mens News:
Good luck to our club players on the Galway Under 21 team playing Kildare on Saturday in the All-Ireland Semi Final.
Well done to the Seniors who had a good win at the weekend against Tuam Stars on a scoreline of 4-9 to 0-5. The Seniors play Kilconly at 12.30 on Sunday morning in Kilconly.
Intermediates had a good win against Ballygar 3-7 to 1-6 and play Carraroe at home in Corofin on Friday night at 8pm
Juniors are home to Claregalway on Sunday evening at 6.30. Currently fixed for Corofin pitch.
Minor A league, unlucky to lose by a point to Claregalway on scoreline 1-8 to 2-6. Their next game is this evening Wednesday 17th away to Headford at 7.00pm
U14 finished 2nd in their group to the eventual Feile champions Claregalway.
In the U14 league Corofin play Barna on Friday night .Currently fixed for 7pm in Corofin but may be changed.
Under 16s played Annaghdown last night, Tuesday 16 April. Result will be posted on www.corofingaa.com . They play St Gabriels at home on Tuesday 23rd.
The club offers is sympathies to the Molloy family, Ballinacregg on the death of their mother/grandmother May Molloy, RIP.
Ladies Notes:
Corofin Ladies: Registration evening has been set for Friday May 3rd, 6.30-9pm in Belclare Clubhouse. Registration prices will be as follows: Adult Player - 55; U18, U16, U14 and U12 - 40; U10 and U8 - 30; Non-playing club members (managers, mentor, Club officers); if any manager or mentor wants to be covered by the injury fund, then they need to pay the full 55.
Senior League game against St Brendans was called-off last Sunday, they are now due to paly Glenamaddy/Williamstown this weekend.
Juniors played St Brendans over the weekend, well done on a great display of football and earning a deserved win.
U16s host Salthill/Knocknacarra Wednesday 17th April in Belclare at 7pm.
U14s will take part in the Feile Competition this Sunday 21st April in Belclare. The Corofin group is as follows: Round 1 - Claregalway vs Glenamaddy; Round 2 - Corofin vs Claregalway and Round 3 - Corofin vs Glenamaddy. Round 1 will kick off at 10.30am. Shield Final will be in Belclare at 3.30pm followed by the Cup Final at 4.30pm. Best of luck to the management and players, please support.
U12s played St Gabriels last Friday evening and well done on the draw result.
U10s will train on Thursday 18th April, in Belclare 6-7pm.
U8 training will commence Tuesday 30th April in Belclare 6.30-7.30pm. Parents of the U10s and U8s must remember that they need to stay at the training sessions, not just drop and go. Please remember that it is the policy of Corofin Ladies for players to wear gum shields at training and matches.
Fundraising: the club will be holding a Tea Dance in Ard Ri Hotel 11th May, tickets will be distributed to all families, thank you for all your support in our fundraising initiatives.
