There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and two match 3s – Laura Higgins and Paul Canney. The numbers drawn were 1, 6, 12, 22. Next week's jackpot is €2,900 with the draw in the Corralea Court Hotel.

The first silverware of 2013 for the club was secured on Monday when the Under 13 team won the Wers Waste Under-13 Division 1 North League Final defeating Annaghdown on a scoreline of 3-7 to 2-2 in an entertaining contest played in Menlough. The match was played in a sporting manner by two good teams and the Corofin lads displayed good character to come out on top in the end. Well done to all the players and to the management team of Richard Broderick, Frank Morris, Gerry Collins and David Ryan. Thanks also to Coiste Peile na nÓg for organising the competition and to WERS Waste for sponsoring it. The minor game versus Monivea/Abbeyknockmoy ,due to be played on Monday , was called off.

Well done to Galway U21s who defeated Sligo 1-20 to 0-7. Galway play Mayo next on Saturday 23 March at 4.00 pm in Tuam Stadium in the Connacht semi-final. Congrats to Corofin players Tomás Healy, Liam Silke and Daithí Burke who all played their part in this victory.

In the U14 Football - Division 1B league, Corofin commence their campaign next Sunday when they play Craughwell at 11.00 am in Corofin.

Certificates were presented to 25 team coaches who recently successfully completed level 1 in Gaelic football coaching for the club. Well done to all involved. Corofin had a very successful underage registration & open evening on Friday 15 March in the Corofin pitch from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Our aspiring footballers had an evening of training and fun with senior players and team coaches on the pitch.
