Thanks to all who attended the AGM in Belclare on Sunday. Best wishes to our incoming chairman, Michael Ryder and secretary, John Power. A sincere thank you to our outgoing chairman Berney Glynn and secretary Fintan Forde for their tremendous work during their time in office. We are delighted that both are remaining on as committee members. Some documents relating to the club development were mislaid at the AGM. Anyone who might know of their whereabouts should call 086-8063166. Full details of the club officers and team managers for 2013 are listed on the club website.

The first meeting of the incoming committee has been scheduled for next Tuesday, 4 December at 8.00 pm in St Colman’s Room, Corofin Church.

Club membership forms for 2013 can now be downloaded from our website by clicking on the link on our home page (corofingaa.com). Completed forms and appropriate fee can be given to any committee member or team manager.

The John Dunne Cup Final, in which Corofin play Annaghdown, has been fixed for Saturday next, 1 December. The game takes place in Tuam Stadium at 2.30 pm. As this is likely to be the final game of the year all support is welcome.

The final results of the Corofin GAA Club Sports Prediction Competition are now in. When all scores were counted, we ended up with a ‘dead-heat’ for the winner. The winners had an excellent score of 380 and both had the same correct tie-breaker. Congrats to David Quinn (Athenry) and Laura Reilly (Rusheens) who share first and second prize between them, with each getting €375. Well done also to John Costello (Parkmore) who was a close third with a score of 370 and he wins €150. Thanks again to all who participated in this fundraiser.

Many thanks also for the on-going support of the fundraising events being organised by the Corofin Development Association. A large crowd attended the Floral Demonstration which took place in the Claregalway Hotel on Monday night. A very enjoyable night was had by all who attended.
