GAA CLUB NOTES

On Sunday afternoon Galway played the Tyrone in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League in O’Neill’s Healy Park, Co. Tyrone. It was a tight affair with Tyrone leading by two points at the break. A Cathal Sweeney goal in the 2nd half gave Galway the advantage and they kept the lead until the final whistle. Kieran Molloy and Dylan McHugh started the game while Oran Burke, Patrick Egan, Ciaran Brady and Jack McCabe were named on the bench. The next game for Galway is against Derry for Round 4 of the Allianz Football League, 25th February at 1:45pm, in Pearse Stadium.

 

 

LGFA CLUB NOTES

On Sunday afternoon Galway played the Dublin in Round 4 of the Lidl National Football League in Parnell Park, Dublin. It was an entertaining game with both sides taking some great scores. Galway had the lead going into the closing minutes but a stunning comeback from the All-Ireland champions brought them from 3 points down to 1-point winning margin at the final whistle. The game ended with a final score Galway 1-12 Dublin 0-16. Karen Connolly, Roisin Leonard and Leanne Coen started the game. Roisin Leonard scored 4 points (3f) and Leanne Coen scored 2 points. The next game for Galway is against Meath for Round 5 of the Lidle National Football League, Sunday 3rd March.

 

 

2024 GAA MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION

Club Membership for 2024 is now open for registration. Reminder to all Players that Membership must be paid before resuming any training or matches. LGFA Club Membership for 2024 is now open for registration. Please note: for players born in 2014 (u-10’s) and younger, must be registered via Clubforce, see details above for Clubforce.

 

 

GAA NATIONAL CLUB DRAW TICKETS

Tickets for the GAA National Club Draw 2024 have been distributed to members for sale. The draw is a great opportunity to raise funds to be used at Club level for the promotion of the GAA. The draw takes place on Wednesday 27th March 2023.

1st Prize is a new Dacia Sandero car, 2nd Prize is a €10,000 cash prize with All-Ireland Final Packages for Football and Hurling making up the remainder of the prizes.
