On Saturday evening the Senior team are away to Milltown at 7:00pm for the opening game of their Division 1 campaign as they look to retain the title this year. On Sunday afternoon the Intermediate team host Cortoon Shamrocks in Corofin at 2:00pm for their opening game of their Division 3A League campaign.

Best of luck to all the Players and Management Teams for the year ahead.

On Saturday Galway U20’s played Round 3 of their John Kerins Cup U20 Development League Division 1 campaign against Laois in Tuam Stadium. It was a good game from Galway who came out eventual winners on a scoreline of Galway 1-12 Laois 1-11 with crucial free-kicks scored in the dying moments of the game.

Bernard Coen, Brian Cogger and Patrick Egan were named in the starting 15 with Jack McCabe named in the substitutes.

The next game for Galway U20’s is against Dublin, Saturday 11th March at 12:00pm.

On Sunday Galway Senior team played Monaghan in Round 5 of their Allianz League campaign. It was a tricky fixture made more difficult with the dismissal of Peter Cooke for Galway just before Halftime but Galway put on a display in the second half that limited Monaghan to just 2 points. Final score Galway 1-13 Monaghan 0-10, with Galway having secured their Division 1 status for next year.

Dylan McHugh and Ian Burke started the game with Bernard Power named among the substitutes.

The next game for Galway Seniors is against Armagh for Round 6, Sunday 18th March at 5:00pm, in BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, Armagh.
