The Club Lotto is vital to supporting the Club in maintaining the great facilities we have and to ensure the underage teams are fully resourced with training equipment, first aid, etc. Our membership numbers are growing at each grade which puts an increased demand on the playing surfaces and equipment. Your continued support for our Lotto in greatly needed and appreciated, as it enables us to meet this demand year-round.

GAMES

On Sunday the U17’s Killannin in Killannin for their U-17 A Championship Preliminary Quarter Final. The game was played in difficult conditions but the lads put in a phenomenal effort and came away with the win on a score line of 2-11 to 4-2. Goals from Gavin Kelly and Liam Hugo. The Club is looking forward to the Quarter Final.

 

UNDERAGE NOTES

Our U9 and U10 groups travelled to Doora Barefield GAA Club, Ennis, Co. Clare on Sunday morning to play an hour of 8-a-side games with the host Club. A great morning of football was enjoyed by all the kids. Thanks to everyone involved in organising the trip.

 

The U13 David Canney Memorial Cup take place in Belclare on Sunday from 11:00am. We will be hosting Balla (Mayo), Caherlistrane, Coora Barefield (Co. Clare), Caherlistrane and St. Mary’s (Leitrim). Best of luck to everyone on the day.

 

SYMPATHY

The club offers its sympathy to the families and friends of the following who have died recently:

Jackie Glynn, Tavannagh, Jackie captained Corofin in the 1974 County Final, losing narrowly losing out to Mountbellew by 1 point.

James (Jim) Mulhall, Garraun, Belclare.
