GAMES

On Friday Junior A team played Tuam Stars in the Junior A North Semi Final in Tuam Stars Grounds. It was a case of our 4th team against Tuam’s 2nd team and while we ran them close a month ago in Corofin in a 2-point game, the task as much more difficult this time around and Tuam Stars finished up the winners on a scoreline of Tuam Stars 2-17, Corofin 1-05.

The U-19’s kick off Round 1 of their A North Championship with a trip to Monivea to play Monivea-Abbey at 7:30pm on Wednesday (this evening). Best of luck to the lads, plenty of talent in the squad.

COUNTY

The Curtain came down on this year’s Senior Inter-County Championship on Sunday in Croke Park. The Club would like to express their gratitude to Padraic Joyce, his Management Team and the Players for the fantastic excitement, entertainment and great memories that they have given us throughout the year. A hearty congratulations to Corofin players Liam Silke, Dylan McHugh, Kieran Molloy, Dylan Canney and Tony Gill for their achievements this year. A fantastic League campaign that secured promotion back to Division 1, a Connaught Championship and an All-Ireland Final. The lads always acquitted themselves well and played with pride when called upon with some outstanding performances to look back upon. They are great ambassadors for the Club and we are immensely proud of them. They have helped bring Galway back to the top-table of Senior Inter-County Football and we are excited for the years ahead.
