MATCHES
Connacht Senior Football Championship final result – Galway 2-19 to Roscommon 2-16. Congratulations to Galway on a great win over Roscommon in Pearse Stadium on Sunday.
Even though Roscommon narrowed the gap with two late goals, this was a well-deserved win for Galway. The team played superbly throughout and deserve all the praise which they have received since the win. Congratulations especially to Liam Silke, Dylan McHugh and Kieran Molly who all performed superbly in the game. Galway are now through to an All-Ireland quarter final scheduled for the weekend of 25 / 26 June.
Following their 3-15 to 1-13 win over Sligo in the Connacht U17 semi-final on Friday evening in Tuam Stadium, Galway minor footballers take on Mayo in the final next Monday evening.
Galway minor hurlers defeated Laois in All-Ireland minor hurling quarter-final by 0-23 to 2-14 played in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday evening. Joey Wallace, son of former Corofin goalie Paul, played at left half back for Galway.
The Leinster hurling final in which Galway take on Kilkenny is being played in Croke Park on Saturday evening at 7.00 pm. We send best wishes to team captain, Daithi Burke, and all the team in the game.
Congratulations to our under 19 team who defeated Monivea-Abbey in the North Board final last Tuesday evening in Tuam Stadium. Well done to the lads, as they beat a tough Monivea-Abbey by 2-8 to 0-9. The cup was accepted by captain Josh McHugh on behalf of the team.
Our seniors played St Michael's in the league division 1 in Corofin on Tuesday evening.
Our junior C team are to play Milltown in Milltown on Friday
Our intermediate team play Monivea-Abbey in Corofin at 8.00 pm on Friday evening.
Our juniors play Ballinasloe in the league division 4B in Corofin on Sunday.
Please note that the gym in Belclare is closed for upgrades and is scheduled to reopen next week.

UNDERAGE NOTES
Our under 12 boys B team put in a great performance in defeating Athenry by 1-9 to 0-4 played on a very hot evening last Saturday in Athenry. This was a great team effort. Well done to the boys.
RAFTERY CUP
A huge congratulations to all the players who participated in the Raftery cup finals in Corofin on Wednesday evening last. Congratulations to Ballinderry N S on winning the cup and Cummer N S who won the shield.
In the opening games Belclare N S won the plate and the exhibition game was a tight affair with Castlehackett N S winning narrowly. Thanks to all the teachers for all their work and club personnel who made the event so enjoyable for all the children.
SYMPATHY
The club offers its sympathy to Alan and Brian Loughlin on the death of their uncle Joe Molloy, Gurteen, Ballinasloe. May he rest in peace.
