UNDERAGE NOTES

The U13A had a good win against Moycullen last Wednesday. A result that was ground out with an honest second half display.

Round 1 and 2 of this year’s Raftery Cup National School competition got underway in a sun-drenched Belclare last Thursday morning. In Round 1 there were wins for Annaghill, Ballinderry 5, Belclare and Sylane. In Round 2 there were wins for Annaghill, Ballinderry 6, Belclare and Sylane. Some great football was on display from all the teams and we certainly look forward to the next round of fixtures.

The U14 Feile competition kicked off last Friday evening with the A Team defeating Tuam Stars in Division 1 and the B team defeating Headford in Division 4. The games continued on the Saturday morning with the A team playing their games in Tuam Stars pitch and the B team playing their games at Corofin pitch. The A team drew their Round 2 game with Claregalway before being defeated by Caherlistrane in their Round 3 game. The B team narrowly lost their Round 2 and Round 3 games against Monivea-Abbey and Tuam Stars. A great effort was put in by all the Players and Coaches.

On Sunday we had two teams playing in U12 Development League with very competitive games played with Athenry and Tuam Stars. Well done to all players.
