Next week's jackpot is €18, 950 in the Club Office. CLUB NOTES Our Senior team kicked off their 2022 Division 1 campaign with a win over Milltown on Friday night in Corofin. First half goals from Conor Carson, Conor Newell and Matthew Cooley pushed the team into a comfortable 10 point lead at half time. Their performance never dropped in the second half and finished the game with a score of Corofin 3-16 Milltown 0-10. Well done to Kevin Johnson, his management team and the players. Saturday saw our Intermediates start their 2022 Division 3A campaign against Cortoon Shamrocks. The first half was a tight, low scoring affair with the Cortoon winning by a point at half-time, 0-4 to 0-3. A strong second half saw Colin Kelly score the game’s only goal, proving to be the difference as the game finished Corofin 1-07 Cortoon Shamrocks 0-08. Galway Footballers made it five wins from 5 games in the Allianz Football League with a 2-08 to 1-05 win over Clare in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. Liam Silke, Kieran Molloy and Dylan McHugh started for Galway with Dylan Canney coming off the bench for his Allianz League debut. Well done to Kieran Molloy for his Man of the Match award also. Galway’s next game is against Derry in Owenbeg on Sunday 20th March at 1pm. We sympathise with the families and friends of the following who have died recently:
