RESULTS: Our seniors defeated Milltown by 1-12 to 0-8 in the quarter final of the senior championship played in Tuam Stadium on Saturday. We led at half time by 1-7 to 0-3, with the goal coming from Liam Silke. Well done lads. The draw for the semifinals have pitted Corofin against Killanin, while Moycullen play Mountbellew-Moylough, a repeat of last years county final. The games will take place on the weekend of 30 / 31 October. Well done to our intermediate team and their mentors who retained their Intermediate status with a hard fought win over Menlough in Ballinasloe in Friday evening. The final score was 1-8 to 0-8 with the vital goal being scored by Tony Gill. Well done to our minor players and management on a brilliant win over Moycullen in a very exciting county semifinal on Saturday. The final score was 2-9 to 2-6. The goal scorers were Finn McIntyre and Ronan Tyrell. Our junior B team suffered heart break when loosing the county final after extra time to Salthill-Knocknacarra by 2-7 to 0-14 in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. The Corofin goals came from Seán Silke and David Coen. Well done to this group of players and their management on their hard work and commitment all throughout the campaign.
