CONNACHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Well done, once again, to our senior team who defeated Ballintubber in the Connacht semi-final in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. The final score was Corofin 1-10 to Ballintubber 0-11. The goal was scored by man of the match Liam Silke early in the second half.
Our Connacht final against Pádraig Pearses of Roscommon is fixed for a Galway venue at 2.00 pm on Sunday 24 November. Further details will be confirmed on our social media pages.
JUNIOR C:
The Junior C county final in which we play Killannin has been fixed for Saturday 23 November.
UNDERAGE:
We lost to Oranmore-Maree in the under 16 division 1A county final played on Saturday in Caherlistrane. The final score was 0-12 to 2-8. Hard luck to the team who put in a great display throughout the game. Thanks to their backroom team for all the hard work done with the lads all year.
FLAGS:
A new stock of car flags, hand held flags and new knitwear in men’s and ladies has just arrived into Raftery’s.
SYMPATHY:
The club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of Ray Moylan, Headford, husband of Teresa (née Molloy) Ballinacregg; Christy Reaney, Boston USA, brother in law of Margaret Costello, Caheravoola; Mary Cunningham, Togher, sister of Geraldine Collins, Curry. May they rest in peace.
