CLUB GAMES:
Our senior team completed their games in group 2 of the championship with a 5-9 to 0-6 win over Naomh Anna, Leitir Móir played in An Spidéal on Sunday. The goals were scored by Martin Farragher (2), Liam Silke (2) and Kevin Murphy. We had five wins from the five games played in the group. Corofin will play Mountbellew/Moylough in the quarter final of the championship. This game is likely to played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday 22 September.
Our junior C team defeated Caherlistrane in round 3 of the championship by 1-18 to 0-12 played in Corofin on Sunday evening.
Our junior A game against Menlough in the championship (North) – group B, was conceded by Menlough.
MINORS:
We lost to Northern Gaels in the minor A championship (North) – group B, by 0-8 to 0-18 played last Wednesday in Corofin.
UNDERAGE:
We play Claregalway in under 16 division 1 A in Corofin at 7. 00 pm on Friday evening.
Our under 14 team defeated St Michael's by 5-5 to 0-7 in division 1 played last Friday.
The under 8 blitz in Sarsfield’s, Newbridge, Co Kildare, has been cancelled.
ALL-IRELANDS:
Congratulations to the Galway Senior Camogie team who defeated Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Final in Croke Park on Sunday.
Best of luck to the Galway ladies, to captain Tracey Leonard and the Corofin ladies on the panel in the TG4 All-Ireland final on Sunday.
