LOTTO:

Lotto numbers drawn were 8, 11, 14, 26.  No jackpot winner and one match 3, Eoin Burns.   Seller’s prize Brian Loughlin.   Next week’s jackpot is €13,100 and the draw will be held in the Club office.

CONNACHT CHAMPIONSHIP:

Galway footballers had a decisive win over Sligo by 3-11 to 0-7 in the Connacht semi-final in Markievicz Park, Sligo on Sunday. Well done to man of the match Liam Silke (1-2), Bernard Power, Ian Burke and sub Martin Farragher (1-1). We send best wishes for a speedy recovery to Kieran Molloy following a first half injury.

 

In the Connacht Junior Championship semi-final Galway also recorded a good win over Sligo, winning by 2-15 to 0-8. Alan Molloy and Connor Brady lined out at midfield for Galway.

 

Galway minors were defeated by Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon on Friday evening by 1-17 to 1-15. Their next game is against Sligo in Tuam Stadium at 7.30 pm on Friday evening.

 

 

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP:

Our seniors commence the Senior County Championship when they play Tuam Stars at 7.00 pm in Kenny Park, Athenry on Saturday evening.

Our Intermediate team play St Gabriel’s in their first game of the Championship in Tuam Stadium at 12.30 pm on Sunday afternoon.

All support for both teams is welcome.

 

LEAGUE:

Our Junior C team team defeated Milltown in Milltown on Friday evening in division 8A league (North) by 2-20 to 0-9 with goals by Graham Murphy and Keith Morris.

 

 

UNDER 14

Our under 14 team drew with Oranmore-Maree on a scoreline of 2-5 to 1-8 played in Maree on Friday evening.

 

RAFTERY CUP:

Well done to all the teams who participated in the Raftery Cup finals last week. Thanks as ever to the Raftery family for their sponsorship of this great competition. Thanks also to all the teachers and parents for their work in promoting Gaelic Football in the schools and for their support for this competition.
