Lotto numbers drawn were 12, 17, 18, 21. No jackpot winner and one match 3, Pat Kelly. Seller’s prize John Coen. Next week’s jackpot is €12,800 and the draw will be held in Canavan’s, Belclare.
GALWAY SENIORS:
Galway footballers defeated London by 0-16 to 1-9, in their first round Connacht Championship game in McGovern Park, Ruislip on Sunday. Liam Silke (0-1) and Ian Burke (0-2) both played for Galway. Galway will next play Sligo in the Connacht semi-final in Markievicz Park, Sligo on Sunday week.
LEAGUE GAMES:
Our seniors play St Michael's in the league, division 1, at 8.00 pm in Corofin on Friday evening.
Our Intermediate team play Killererin in the league, division 3, at 2.00 pm in Corofin on Sunday.
Our Junior A team defeated Headford by 7-5 to 1-14 in the league division 5 (North) game played in Headford on Thursday evening. Their game against Annaghdown, fixed for Corofin on Monday, was postponed. It has been refixed for Saturday evening at 7.00 pm in Corofin.
Our Junior C team play Milltown in division 8A league (North) at 12.00 pm in Milltown on Sunday afternoon.
MINORS:
We lost the final of the Minor A Football League (North) by 1 point on a scoreline of Corofin 2-9 to Northern Gaels 1-13 played in Tuam Stadium last Wednesday evening. Well done to the team on all their performances in the league.
UNDER 14:
Our under 14 team defeated Claregalway by 4-4 to 1-7 in division 1 (North) played in Knockdoemore on Friday evening. They play Mountbellew-Moylough in Corofin at 7.00 pm on Friday evening.
