STRICTLY COME DANCING:

Are you ready for a great night out?  Come along to the Galmont Hotel, Galway for our Strictly Come Dancing Event on this Saturday night (Easter Saturday).  Our 13 couples have been rehearsing enthusiastically over the last weeks.  They are ready to give everyone who attends an exciting and entertaining night.  The event commences at 8.00 pm but get there early to ensure you get a good seat.  Some tickets are still available from committee members and a limited number may be available on the door on the night.  We especially thank all the dancers who gave of their time to practise and raise funds for the club and we wish them well on Saturday night. 

LEAGUE GAMES:

We lost to Killannin by 1-6 to 1-16 in the senior league division 1 played in Corofin on Sunday afternoon.  The Corofin goal were scored by Liam Silke from the penalty spot in the second half. 

We play Salthill-Knocknacarra at 2.00 pm on Sunday afternoon in the Priarie, Salthill    .

Well done to our Junior A, division 5, team who had an excellent win again this weekend.  They defeated Kilkerrin-Clonberne by 4-12 to 3-8 in Corofin on Friday evening.  The Corofin goals were scored by Conor Raftery, Dave Morris and Joe Canney who netted two goals. 



Our Intermediate, division 3, team defeated Menlough by 2-12 to 3-5, with the Corofin goals being scored by Dylan Canney and Conor Newell.

We defeated Caherlistrane by 3-15 to 3-8 in the Minor A Football League – North, played in Corofin on Wednesday evening. 

FÉILE:

Despite winning all their earlier games and playing very well throughout, our Under 14 Féile team were defeated by a much stronger Claregalway team in the County final played in Athenry on Sunday.  Well done to all the players and their mentors on their performance in the competition. 

SYMPATHY:

The club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of Tess McGinley, Gurrane and Elma Twomey, Cork, sister of Joey Bourke, Bullaun.  May they rest in peace
