LOTTO:

Lotto numbers drawn were 4, 6, 8, 26. No jackpot or match 3 winners. Seller’s prize Alan Furey. Next week's jackpot is €11,450 and draw is in Club Office.

ALL-IRELAND FINAL:

The All-Ireland Senior Club final versus Dr Crokes of Killarney has been fixed for 3.45 in Croke Park on St. Patrick’s Day.

Tickets for the Final will be on sale in Corofin GAA pitch from 6.00 to 8.00 pm on Thursday night.  Tickets will be on sale for the Hogan and Cusack stands at €20.00 each. Under 16 tickets, costing €5.00, are ONLY available for the Cusack Stand.  Tickets purchased on the night will ensure that parish and club members will be together in clusters within the Hogan and the Cusack stands on the big day.

CLUB SHOP:

The Club shop (located next to Raftery’s bar) will be open as follows:

Thursday 7th & Friday 8th from 7pm to 9pm

Sunday 10th from 11am to 12.30pm

Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th & Friday 15th from 7pm to 9pm.

STRICTLY COME DANCING:

The Corofin GAA Club Strictly Come Dancing event was launched in Raftery’s Bar on Friday night.  We had a very enjoyable night.  Sincere thanks to all who came along to support the brave dancers.

The dancing couples will be announced later.  We will be featuring all the dancers on the Club’s Facebook page over the next two weeks.  

The event takes place in the Galmont Hotel, Galway on Saturday, 20 April.  Tickets, costing €25, are now available from Club members. 

CARD DRIVE:

A Progressive 25 Card Drive, in aid of Corofin GAA Training Fund, is being held in Belclare Community Centre at 7.00 pm on Sunday 10 March.  Admission is €10.00.  Come along and support.

GALWAY FOOTBALLERS:

Galway senior footballers had a good win over Mayo in round 5 of the Allianz league in MacHale Park, Castlebar on Saturday.

LEAGUE – DIVISION 3:

Our Intermediate team had a 1 point win over Dunmore MacHales in their first game on their return to Division 3 of the league, played in Dunmore on Saturday.   Corofin led by 1-4 to 5 points at half time with the goal coming from Cathal Newell. Despite playing into a strong wind in the second half Corofin held out to win on a score line of 1-10 to 12 points. Well done to the players and their manager, Shane Monaghan on his first game in charge.

UNDERAGE:

Under 6 coaching (children born in 2013 or sooner) will start this Saturday in Belclare Astroturf at 10.00 am, weather permitting.

We have just launched our brand new website which can be viewed at www.corofingaa.ie.  The website is linked closely to our App and will also carry all the most up to date Club news, fixtures, results and much more.  The App can be downloaded from the App Store (Apple) and from the Play Store (Android).  Search for ClubZap and sign into Corofin GAA Club.

SYMPATHY:

The club offers its sympathy to the families and friends of Mary Chalke, Limerick, mother in law of James Collins, Pollinore, who died recently. May she rest in peace.
