ALL-IRELAND SEMI FINAL:

Congratulations to our senior players and management team on their great win over Gaoth Dobhair in the All-Ireland Senior Club semi-final played in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon, on Saturday afternoon.  The final score was Corofin 2-13 to Gaoth Dobhair 1-12.  The Corofin goals came in the first half from Gary Sice and Martin Farragher, while the Gaoth Dobhair goal was scored by Kevin Cassidy, to leave the half-time score at 2-7 to 1-5.    We congratulate Gary on his selection as man-of-the-match.

We once again thank our supporters who travelled to the game.  Although we were outnumbered by a large following from Donegal, our voices were still heard and the encouragement is appreciated by the team.  We will now be back in Croke Park on St. Patrick’s Day for the second year in-a-row.  This time we will be playing our semi-final conquerors of 2107, namely Dr. Crokes of Killarney.

SCÓR NA NOG:

Although our Instrumental Music Group did not win in the 2019 All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Final which took place in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Saturday, the group had a great day out and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We send our congratulations to the Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancers who did win their final.

CONGRATS ADAM:

Well done to Irish champion boxer Adam Hession who won his National Senior Elite semi-final on Friday night in the National Stadium.  Adam will defend his title this Saturday night. The Monivea Boxing Club star also plays football with Corofin.  Adam made his way down to Carrick on Shannon on Saturday to support Corofin in the All Ireland club football semi-final. Best of luck in the final on Saturday Adam.
