CLUB NOTES:



Our seniors return to action when they play their first game in the division 1 league against An Cheathrú Rua, in Páirc an Chathánaigh, An Cheathrú Rua, at 6.00 pm on Saturday evening.  We ask our supporters to come along and support the All-Ireland Champions at the game. 



 



Our juniors lost out to Annaghdown in division 5 (North) by 3-5 to 2-13 played in Corofin on Friday evening.



We defeated Clifden in a division 4 league game by 3-17 to 1-6 in Corofin on Saturday evening.



 



Galway footballers were defeated by Dublin in the league final on Sunday in Croke Park.



 



Athenry conceded the game to us in the minor A league.  We play Caherlistrane at 6.45 pm in Caherlistrane on this Wednesday evening.



 



We played Annaghdown in the under 16 league (Division 1 North) in Cregg on Tuesday.



 



We had a good win in the under 14 league (division 1 North), defeating Caherlistrane by 4-14 to 5-8 last week.   Our second under14 team lost out to Salthill-Knocknacarra in division 4, also played last week. 



 



We play Mountbellew/Moylough in under 14 division 1 (North) at 7.00 pm on Friday evening in Mountbellew.  Our second under 14 team play Claregalway B Team in Knockdoemore also at 7.00 pm on Friday evening.     



 



U12 training continues on Saturday at 9.50 am in Belclare.



 



Sylane hurlers play their inaugural game in the intermediate hurling championship v Oranmore-Maree on Sunday next in Pearse Stadium at 12.30 pm. Best of luck to all involved.



 



We offer the sympathy of the Club and the community to the sisters and extended family of the late Archdeacon Paddy Williams, former Parish Priest of Corofin and vice-president of the Club who died on Good Friday. 



We also offers sympathy to the family and friends of Tina Lawlor, Mountmellick, née O’Brien, Ballinderry;  Les Newman, Wexford, brother in law of Annette Hession and Cathy Harding, Gortbeg;  Monica Baskerville, England, sister of Kathleen Fahy, Corbally; Mary Roche, Abbeyknockmoy, mother of Vincent Roche, Ballybanagher.  May they rest in peace.
