CLUB NOTES: We once again send best wishes and safe travel to our senior team as they take on London champions Fulham Irish in the All-Ireland Club SFC Quarter-final in McGovern Park, Ruislip at 1.00 pm on Sunday next. We also wish our supporters travelling over a safe journey. Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us this time. The Club sends its congratulations to Kieran Fitzgerald who won a Medtronic sponsored Galway Sports Star award for football. The awards will be presented at a banquet in the Galway Bay Hotel on Saturday night January 27th. We send best wishes and good luck to Sylane who take on St Mogue's Fethard, Wexford in the AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Junior Club Championship Semi-Final at 3.00 in Parnell Park, Dublin on Saturday. The Club offers its sympathy to the families and friends of the following who died recently: June Cunniffe, Anbally; Mary Ellen Divilly, Kilkerrin, grandmother of Sinéad Loughlin, Caherlea; Joseph O'Reilly, Tuam, brother of Bernie Hanley, Anbally; Jim Kearns, Athenry, father of Sally McHugh, Kilcurriff; Tom Connell, Barnaderg, brother-in-law of Father Mullins. May they rest in peace.
