CLUB NOTES:

There are just over three weeks to go to our “20K Drop” fundraiser night, which takes place on Friday 31 March at 8.00 pm in the Claregalway Hotel.   On the night 8 people will be selected from ticket holders and each will play for a chance to win €2,500.   Tickets for the show, and for a chance to win €2,500, are priced at €20 and can be purchased from any committee member.  There will be a discount for families or groups with four tickets available for €60.   Tickets are also available on our website corofingaa.ie.  Your support for the Club’s fundraising efforts is much appreciated. 



Galway footballers lost out to Meath in the Allianz Football League Division Two on a scoreline of Galway 0-15 to Meath 1-13.   Liam Silke and Micheál Lundy started for Galway while Gary Sice was a late substitution.  Galway’s next game is at home to Derry on Sunday week.



Our seniors play Mountbellew-Moylough in the John Dunne Cup at 11.00 am next Sunday (12 March) in Corofin.



Our minors lost out to Claregalway in the minor league by 2-12 to 1-12.  The game was played last Tuesday night in Corofin.  The team played Mountbellew/Moylough in Corofin on Tuesday night.  Their next game is on Sunday against Kilkerrin-Clonberne-Williamstown at 11.00 am in Clonberne.



The Corofin GAA Club School of Excellence will take place from 11th to 13th of April in the Belclare Pitch. This camp is open to both boys and girls from the age of 8 to 13.



The Club offers its sympathy to Clive Clancy, Belclare, on the death of his mother, Mrs Joan Burke, England. May she rest in peace.
