GoBus Galway will operate a special Club Supporters Bus for the clash with Dr Croke’s.

The bus will leave Corofin Pitch at 12:30 pm and will return 30 minutes after the final whistle. Return tickets are priced at €15 per adult. Children under 18 and students are €12 return.  Return tickets are available through the GoBus office only on 091 564600.

Na Piarsaigh GAA Club in Limerick have kindly offered us parking facilities for cars and busses at their Club grounds.  Full bar and complimentary teas and coffees are available to our supporters on the day of the semi-final.  The game between Slaughtneil and St Vincent’s will be shown in the Club House.   Na Piarsaigh grounds are the first turn right AFTER the Greenhills Hotel, which is on your left going into Limerick.  The Gaelic Grounds are a 15-minute walk at most from the Clubhouse.

Congratulations to Ian Burke who has won the AIB GAA Connacht Club Footballer of the Year 2016 for his performances with Corofin in the 2016 provincial club season. The national and regional sports media has voted for the awards.   The presentation of the award took place in Croke Park on Monday.

The Galway Sports Stars banquet takes place Galway Bay Hotel on Saturday night, February 4.  The Gaelic Football award is going to Corofin’s defensive dynamo Ciarán McGrath, while Ciarán's clubmate, Dáithí Burke, is being honoured with a Special Achievement award.  Tickets for the event can be obtained from Michael Ryder (086 8063166) or John Raftery (087 2585843).

Thanks to Gary Sice, Dylan Canney and Jason Leonard who gave an under 10 training session in the pitch on Saturday morning as part of a TG4 promotion.

The three lads along with Mike Farragher, Tom Healy, Enda Fleming, Paul Cassidy, Dara Silke and Gavin Burke took part in a TG4 challenge to be broadcast on the station shortly.

Our thanks also to Galway footballer, Danny Cummins, who was the ‘defender’ in the competition.

Well done to all the under 10’s who togged out in the cold and supported the lads for the event.

Thanks also to the parents for bringing the kids to the Corofin pitch for the filming.

Corofin GAA Underage registration morning, for under 6 to under 16s, will take place on Saturday morning 4th of February from 9.30 to 10.30 am in the Belclare pitch. A fun training session for the lads will also take place at this time. New members are very welcome.

The club offers sympathy to Patricia Langan and Dolly Connolly on the death of their uncle Mattie Staunton, Annaghdown. May he rest in peace.
