CLUB NOTES: We travel to Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday to play St. Brigids of Roscommon in the Connacht Senior Club Final. The game starts at 2.00 pm. The support we had in Castlebar really did help the team and was much appreciated. We ask for your continued support on Sunday, it does make a difference. We wish the team and mentors the very best of luck in the final. Our underage players had a busy weekend participating in the David Canney tournament (under 13) and the Pete Burke and Enda Colleran tournaments (under 11 and 10). The David Canney tournament took place on Sunday morning in Belclare with Corofin reclaiming the cup in a very sporting tournament. On behalf of the Corofin GAA club and the Canney family we wish to thank Annaghdown, Dunmore and Monivea/Abbey for making it such a great morning of football. Our under 11s and 10s travelled to Salthill to play in the Pete Burke and the Enda Colleran tournaments. The under 11s were beaten in the semi-final of the Pete Burke by Mullingar Shamrocks by 1 point. Mullingar went on to win the final. The under 10s were beaten by Bearna in final of the Enda Colleran by a goal. Well done to all involved and thanks to Salthill-Knocknacarra for the invite to the tournament. Tickets, which cost €10, are available from senior team members and from any of the committee.
