CLUB NOTES:

Well done to our intermediates who defeated Naomh Anna, Leitir Móir by 6-9 to 2-16 in the league division 3 in Corofin on Saturday evening.  The Corofin goals were scored by Ronan Burke (2), Oisín Mannion, Cathal Newell, Justin Burke and Graham Murphy.  As a result Corofin maintain their division 3 status for next year while Naomh Anna are relegated to division 4.

Following Castlebar Mitchell’s victory in the Mayo county final on Saturday, they will play Tourlestrane of Sligo in the Connacht quarter final next Saturday.  Corofin await the winners of this tie, with the semi final scheduled for Sunday 13 November.

The final under 10 training session of the year is on Saturday at 9.50 am in Belclare. Cormac, John, Martin and Ralph would like to thank all the kids for taking part.  Once again they were a pleasure to work with and all parents should be really proud of them. A big ‘thank you’ also to the parents who brought them to all the training/matches in various pitches.  Without your commitment we wouldn't be able to field teams. We are already looking forward to seeing you all early next year.

We had a great night in the Árd Rí Hotel Tuam last Friday for our Fashion Show.  Many thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors, boutiques, shops, Catwalk Modeling Agency, organising committee, Club models and especially all who attended and supported us on the night.

The club offers it’s sympathy to the Mannion family Gort, and to Cyril and Gabriel Mannion on the death of Gerry Mannion, Gort and to the Glavin and Spelman families, Kilcurriff and to the extended McHugh family, Ballintubber on the death of Mary Jo Monaghan, Kilcurriff.  May they rest in peace.
