CLUB NOTES:

Well done to our seniors on an excellent 3-13 to 1-11 win over Mountbellew / Moylough in the county semi-final.   The Corofin goals, all in the second half, came from Gary Sice, Ian Burke and Jason Leonard.  Thanks to all who supported the team on Sunday.   Congrats to the team and their mentors on reaching another county final.  We are scheduled to play Salthill-Knocknacarra in the county final on Sunday 23 October following their win over  Cortoon Shamrocks.

The senior team returns to action on Saturday evening with a Division 1 League game against Milltown in Corofin.  The time is yet to be confirmed.

Our intermediate team are scheduled to play Barna in a Division 3 League game also on Saturday evening in Corofin.

Hard luck to our minors who lost out to Caherlistrane in the minor A North Board championship on a score line of Corofin 1-5 to Caherlistrane 1-7.

We had a good start to the day on Sunday when our U15s won the county league with a comprehensive victory over St Gabriels’, Kilconnell in the league final.  This victory followed an unbeaten run in league.  Well done to the team and all involved.

We send massive congratulations to every player involved in the U15 panel.  It was a great performance again Sunday to finish unbeaten in the league.

A special thanks to Coley Kelly, Mervue Utd and Ronan Higgins, Sylane Hurling Club and John Reilly,  Corofin Utd. Thanks also to Club officials Martin Collins, Jimmy Sice, Michael Ryder and John Fahey.  Thanks to Western Hygiene, Flynns of Lackagh and Pat Fleming Sports and to Mike Comer and Aiden Donnellan and to you the parents – thanks so much for your time and support.
