CLUB NOTES:



The seniors play An Cheathrú Rua in the next round of the Senior Football Championship on Saturday at 5.45 pm in Pearse Stadium.  Best wishes to the team and mentors.  All support is appreciated. 



The juniors had a good win in the Junior Football Championship North played last Saturday in Tuam Stadium.  They defeated Milltown by 2-6 to 0-7, with both goals scored by Seán Silke in the first half.



The division 1 league game, Corofin versus Cortoon Shamrocks, fixed for last Saturday was postponed.



The minors play Claregalway in Claregalway in the Minor A North Football Championship at 7.00 pm this Wednesday evening. 



Our under 12s (team 1) play Tuam Stars in the league (Group 1) at 11.00 am in Corofin on Sunday.   The  under 12s (team 2)  also play Tuam Stars in the league (Group 3) at 12.00 am in Corofin on Sunday.



Our under 15s play Annaghdown in the league (Division 1A) at 12.00 pm also on Sunday.  The venue is to be confirmed.                               



Congratulations and well done to Galway Minor Football players and management team on a great victory over Donegal on Sunday.  They will now play Kildare or holders Kerry in the September 18th All-Ireland final.



Please support the Galway GAA Fundraising Draw.  The Draw will now take place on Wednesday 31st August – your support for Galway Football and Hurling will be very much appreciated. Tickets are available from Club Officers and cost €50.  The Golf car will be at Joyce's Supermarket, Athenry this Friday. 



The Club offers its sympathy to Angela McDonagh, Polinore on the death of her mother, Beryl Gavin, Tuam and to the Franciscan Brothers, Mountbellew and to the Burke family Gortroe, Corrandulla on the death of Br. Michael Burke, Minister General of the Order.  May they rest in Peace.
