CLUB NOTES:



Best wishes to our senior team who take on Milltown in the 2nd round of the championship in Tuam Stadium at 7.30 pm on Saturday evening. 



 



The seniors had a comprehensive win over Killererin in the John Dunne Cup last Thursday on a scoreline of 1-16 to 4 points with the goal coming from Barry O’Donovan. 



 



Our junior teams had two good wins at the weekend.  In Division 6 (North) of the league, we defeated Kilkerrin-Clonbern by 3-15 to 3-8 with the Corofin goals scored by Dylan Canney, Conor Creaven and Paul Cassidy.



 



In Division 8B (North) we recorded a 6-12 to 1-16 win over Glenamaddy.  The main Corofin scorers were Eric McDonagh with 3 goals, Cathal Newell 2 goals and Dylan Canney 1-6.  This team plays Mountbellew-Moylough in Corofin at 8.00 pm on Friday evening.         



 



Under 6 to 12 continue their training on Saturday mornings at 10.00 pm in Belclare. 



Under 9 training also takes place in Corofin on Monday evenings at 6.30 pm, while under 10s are having a second training session on Tuesday evenings at 6.30 pm in Corofin.  



 



The Raftery cup continues on Thursday evening 26th, with the following games scheduled:



11 a side @ 6.15pm Annaghill v Belclare and Ballinderry v St Colmans;



7 a side Plate @ 6.15pm Annaghhill 2 v Cummer 2;



7 a side @ 6.45pm Corrandrum v Cummer and Sylane v Castlehacket;t



7 a side plate @ 6.45pm Ballinderry 2 v Belclare 2.



 



The training programme on suicide prevention takes place in St. Colman's National School at 6.45 pm this Wednesday evening, 25 May.



 



The Club offers condolences to the family of Joe McDonagh, former GAA President, who died at the weekend.  Joe served as President from 1997 to 2000 and had the honour of presenting the Andy Merrigan and Sam Maguire cups to Corofin and Galway captain, Ray Silke, in 1998.
