The lotto jackpot was not won and we had no match 3. Numbers drawn were 9, 14, 23, 25. Seller's prize Patricia Langan. Next week's jackpot €8,750 in Club office.



 



CLUB NOTES:

Despite being down by 9 points at half time in their division 2 league clash with Meath, played in Pearse Stadium on Sunday, Galway rallied in the second half to lead by 3 points with a few minutes remaining.  However Meath fought back to earn a draw on a scoreline of Galway 0-15 to Meath 1-12.  Liam Silke started at wing back for Galway and Gary Sice came on as a sub early in the second half.  Next up for Galway is an away game against Armagh next Sunday in the Athletic Grounds at 2.30 pm. 



 



Galway under 21s play Roscommon in Kiltoom on Friday evening at 7.30 pm in the first round of the Connacht Championship.          



 



Hard luck to Medtronic footballers who lost out to Liebherr of Kerry by 0-7 to 0-10 in the All-Ireland Inter Firms final in Tuam Stadium on Saturday. 



 



Corofin GAA Club has lodged an application for planning permission with Galway County Council for a new Clubhouse, Gym and Dressing Rooms.  Included in the development are the following:



Full size gym; Home dressing room, showers & toilets; Physio/Medical room; Referees room; Meeting room; Kitchen; Office & Club shop; Kit storage room; Public toilets; New entrance gates & turnstiles; and Car park.  A mock up of the new Clubhouse can be seen on the Club website. 



 



Congratulations to Aidan Donnellan who guided Holy Rosary College, Mountbellew to their third consecutive Connacht Post Primary Senior B Football Title, defeating Rice College, Westport by 1-5 to 0-7.

The Club offers its sincere sympathy to the family and friends of the late Richard Sice, Kilmore, Tuam whose death occurred recently.  



 



LADIES FOOTBALL:



Corofin Ladies Gaelic Football Club are hosting an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls which starts on 13th April from 6pm in Belclare pitch for 8 weeks. It is open to all girls aged between 8-12 years who are not registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football team. It introduces girls to football in a fun environment and all participants will get a G4G t-shirt and certificate on completion. The programme costs €8.
