Our seniors were defeated by Mountbellew-Moylough in the final of the Connacht GAA Senior Club League (Leo Kenny Cup) in Tuam Stadium last Wednesday on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-12.

We play Milltown in division 1 of the league in Milltown on Friday evening at 8.00 pm.

Our intermediates play St Gabriel's in the league in Corofin at 3.00 pm on Sunday evening.

The under 16s play Glenamaddy/Glinsk in the Championship next Tuesday evening (11 August) in Corofin at 7.00 pm.

Well done to our Under 12s who were the inaugural winners of the Christy O'Loughlin Cup played in Ballinrobe on Saturday.  Corofin defeated Parke, Ballintubber and Ballinrobe on their way to victory.  Declan O’Loughlin presented the winners with the Christy O’Loughlin Memorial Cup and Stephen Rochford, the Corofin senior football manager who lives in Ballinrobe, presented the medals.  The Andy Merrigan Cup, was on display at the tournament.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Galway Ladies Football are holding a “Night at the Dogs” fundraiser at Galway Greyhound Stadium on Friday 21st August.  Tickets are available for €20 each from David Gower.  The ticket gives entry on the night and if the ticket number matches the final result of the feature race on the night the ticket holder wins €1000.

Working on a shoe-string budget, Galway Ladies are having a brilliant year, already winning a clean sweep of Connacht titles - u14, u16, Minor and Senior - in 2015 so far. They also run all the underage game development training and blitzes in the County, as well as all the competitions Corofin Ladies teams, from u8 to Seniors, play in.  Please support us by buying a ticket for the Night at the Dogs fundraiser.
