The Tipp Inn was the place to go when our teams needed to replenish themselves after a match or training anywhere in the county. John made The Tipp Inn the hub of the village and the GAA memorabilia and historical pictures educated all who entered that our love in Toomevara for the sport of Hurling runs deep. John’s kind words to everyone who came in was appreciated by all and whenever we were asked to recommend a place we always chose The Tipp Inn. The club extends its deepest respect and sympathies to the Cromer family at this time.
UPCOMING FIXTURES - UNDER 15A NORTH FINAL Toomevara v Borrisoleigh in Templederry on Sunday at 1pm in Templederry. Best of luck to all players and management.
- SENIOR : TOOMEVARA v KILDANGAN We wish our Seniors every bit of good luck as they face old adversaries, Kildangan, in the County Semi Final next Sunday in FBD Semple Stadium at 3:30pm.
- U 19 COUNTY FINAL: Toomevara v Holycross on Saturday 7th October at 3pm in Borrisoleigh.
Handball Alley - This week we have repaired several of the electric switches and lights in the Handball Alley. We have replaced the external light. We have a few more repairs to do and we hope to ‘hoover’ the astro turf surface in the near future to have the alley available for winter training.
HEALTHY CLUB NOTICE - Toomevara GAA has achieved Silver Healthy Club Status. Citation reads :The club's policies, partners, activities and environment are aligned with supporting the holistic health of your members and community.

VILLAGE CLEAN UP NEXT SATURDAY - Next Saturday the GAA Healthy Club are organising a Village Clean Up. Anyone interested should come along to the GAA Grounds at 3pm and bring your own gloves and bags in case we haven’t enough. Please remember your hi vis jackets. Refreshments afterwards.
NEW LOTTO BOX - Thanks to Joe at Caseys’ Centra for installing a box to make it easier to play the Toome Lotto. Just fill in the envelope with your numbers, put the €5 into the envelope and then put the envelope into the metal box before 7pm on Monday evenings.
EGM - Reminder of the EGM for Members on 4th October at 7pm to pass the GAA Constitution as the constitution for Toomevara GAA Club.
CONGRATULATIONS to Conor Grace of our Senior Team who won the Manufacturing and Engineering Technology category in World Skills Competition in Dublin and now represent Ireland in France next year SCÓR Trath na gCeist In a slight change to previous years, Tipperary Scór are proposing to hold the Trath Na gCeist on a separate night to the stage competitions on Thursday October 12th in a central location. If any person is interested in forming a team please let me know by next Friday so I can register with the County Culture Officer.
